GEOFOTO ARGENTINA ESTABLISHED

Geofoto Argentina has been established and moved into business premises in February 2010 in Argentina (South America). Company is focused to the domain of aerial survey, DOP production, consulting in spatal and topographic databases modelling and production of cadastral systems. As Geofoto already had several projects in South and Central America (in Ecuador, Bolivia, Nicaragua); opening of this new company will strenghten the resources and additionaly expand the market. The management of Geofoto believes that with local presence, it will increase number of employees and projects, as well as increase demand for its products. Furthermore, company will build partnerships with local companies in the same domain of work, which will decrease risk and enhance company's knowlegde of local laws and administration procedures.

VISIT TO USA AND ARGENTINA

President of the Board of Geofoto Group, dr.techn.sc. Zvonko Biljecki, visited from 23rd February until 1st March 2010 United States and Argentina. In the US, he visited company SANBORN in Colorado Springs, which is specialized for photogrammetry and design of geoinformation system, where he met with director and owner of the company Mr. John Copple.
In Buenos Aires, Mr. Biljecki visited Argentinean companies SP s.a. (consulting company for cadastre, geodesy and geoinformation) and AeroMap (company for photogrammetric-cartographic-cadastral services). To these companies was presented domain of work of Geofoto Group, with an emphasis on projects VoGIS, LPIS, Vektoria and 3D City models.

In addition, during his visit to Argentina, dr.techn.sc. Zvonko Biljecki visited Croatian Embassy, where he met with the ambassador Mira Martinec. Beside presentation of company’s products, services and future plans, they discussed company’s expansion strategy to the market of Latin America. The Ambassador also stressed her delight about Geofoto’s results in the year 2009 and promised her support in municipalities Mendoza and Cordoba.

During the visit to Argentina, another member company inside Geofoto group was established, Geofoto Argentina.

      

GEOFOTO WINS GOLDEN MARTEN FOR THE BEST MEDIUM SIZED COMPANY IN 2009

Zagreb, 1st March 2010 – at the 17th annual ceremony “Golden Marten”, Croatian Chamber of Commerce awarded the best Croatian companies and individuals for the success in year 2009. Among these companies was Geofoto, which won the award for the best medium sized company in 2009.

In 2008, Geofoto had 30% revenue increase, whilst year 2009 was finished with increase of revenues of 40%, i.e. revenues of almost 150 million kunas. Average net profit magrin of Geofoto is 30% and EBITDA margin is at 40%. In 2009, Geofoto Group had net income of 40 million kunas. Export amounted to 20% of annual revenue in 2008 and 30% of the annual revenue in 2009, and for 2010 management of the company is planning to further increase export, primarely to the market of Middle East, European Union and Latin America.

This award is yet another proof that the management strategy of Geofoto was extremely successful in 2009, for which award was already given to President of the Board of Geofoto Group Zvonko Biljecki, PhD, by Croatian Association of Managers in the end of 2009.

REPRESENTATIVES OF ITALIAN COMPANY E-GEOS VISITED GEOFOTO

19th February 2010 – Representatives of Italian company e-geos, leading international company in domain of geospatial data, Marcello Maranesi and Cito Cirillo, visited Geofoto. The management of the company presented to the e-geos experts our business strategy as well as most important project of Geofoto Group, as Integral pipeline cadastre of City Rijeka, Establishment of mutual register of communal infrastructure with accurate, updated basis and software Vektoria, modern system for management of digital cadastre data. Representatives of e-geos presented to the management of Geofoto its products and services. The success of the meeting will be proven trough future cooperation of two companies.

GEOFOTO MANAGEMENT VISITS SOFIA

President of the Board of Geofoto Group, Zvonko Biljecki and his associates held on 17th February 2010 a presentation in Sofia (Bulgaria) to the representatives of Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of agriculture and regional development, Ministry of Traffic, State Geodetic Administration, Agency for roads, Military geographical service and to Croatian ambassador in Bulgaria, Ms Danijela Barišić. Beside presentation which demonstrated activities and strategy of the company, the management presented projects LPIS (Land Parcel Information System), VoGIS and softwer Vektoria.

Remind, Project LPIS which Geofoto makes for Ministry of Agriculture, includes producing production of initial Project LPIS data for Ministry of Agriculture. These data include vectorised physical boundaries of agricultural parcels, production of digital orthophoto maps in scale 1:5000 for entire country, quality control which will enable the Ministry to obtain updated information about current situation and CwRS, control with remote sensing. In addition, management presented project VoGIS, which includes production of unique geoinformation system for Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of Republic of Croatia, which harmonized Croatian, international and NATO norms in domain of geoinformation.
